little claire challenge #43 monotone

Hello girls

well I've been dying to post this card ever since i was asked to be a guest designer for this little Claire challenge, i bought the new stamps and was itching to play, i wanted to use one colour on a card but didn't really know what to do so i sat and got my little boy to put his and in my vast collection of pro markers and my daughter to close her eyes and pick me out a stamp and the results are below, i was very pleased with the results let me know what you think.

these two pictures show the things i used to make the card the grey card on the right was a opalescent grey it added a beautiful subtle shimmer to the finished card.

1.  take a 6x6in card 300gsm and remove half of the front .
 2. mat and layer  the inside panel with 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 of black card 5x5 grey opalescent card and 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 piece of white do the same to the front panel just reduce the sizes and put this to one side

3. take an a4 piece of white card and take the small bunch of tulips and randomly stamp remembering to go over the edges i used black tuxedo and the pro markers i had chosen the cool grey's selection, colour the images when finished take a black fine liner and do three dots in the white spaces this fills the areas without being overpowering.

4. taking the now decorated A4 sheet cut out  two scalloped circle from your collection  big enough to leave a small border of grey around the edges mount one of the circles on the back panel and decorate i used buttons and flowers from my sizzlets collection of dies. i then stamped a sentiment coloured in using my pens and mounted this onto a small punched circle and mounted this in the middle of the panel

5.mount the remaining scalloped circle onto the front panel so it covers the back panel but you can still see the buttons and flower,s stamp the cat image colour and cut out and mount this onto a slightly larger grey circle. mount onto scalloped circle and add a few more buttons and flowers i also used a few swirly accents.

6. use the black fine liner to put fake stitches around both grey panels .

7. add pearls to the corners and cosmic shimmer pearls to the outer edge of the scalloped circle and there you have it a simple card using a few ingredients

anything inbetween

hello lovely ladies

just popping in to say hi I've had a good week,
I've been rearranging my craft room as I've just bought a new oak craft desk, its beautiful and big and heavy and I love it, so im finishing my room today and will be posting on a more regular basis next week.
I found my flitter flakes that I bought at a craft fair at Biggin hill last year and put in a safe place so safe I've only just found them tee hee ;) and some masks so im going to have a go at using the glue over the masks, im also going to be playing with some tattered lace dies I bought off of create and craft, while I was on create and craft I sent in an email and I won a card yippee ill post a picture when it arrives, I never win anything so im excited, I will also be having a go at designing some bookmarks for ladies and men,
I'm off out today as well, I'm going to poll hill garden centre in badgers mount  they have the most amazing meat counter there and an amazing shop where they sell loads of the pastries you can get in Tesco, but they are frozen and uncooked and you can buy them individually at great prices, after I may just pop over to the toby carvery the food there is amazing and I can eat loads as I'm on the slimming world plan.
lastly but by no means least I bought myself a paper cutting kit from the amazing paper panda (pop over to her blog she is amazing) and I will be having a play with that as well and will post my triumphs as well as my failures, I love a challenge and never like anything getting the better of me so it will be good.
love you all loads keep crafting and I promise the next blog will not be as long, I may even get time to bake in-between so will post pictures and recipes along with my card making exploits, you never know I may even get the time to cook the family a meal lol

dreams can come true card two

Hello ladies
last one for Saturday night promise.

this card uses butterfly bunny stamp (little Claire)
1 6x6 card
1 12x12 piece brown card
1 12x12 piece coredinations pearl pink card
1 piece A4 Patterned butterfly paper from my stash
little Claire sentiment stamp
a hand made peony flower topper
some flourishes using a spellbinders die.

cutting diagonally remove the front of the card,
mat and layer the brown pink and patterned paper in any combination you like do this on the inside of the card and the front of the card,
cut a smaller square of the brown pink and patterned paper and layer this in the same combination used for the card base,
mount this onto the front of the card using your choice of adhesive. i prefer using collal photo glue,
make your flower and flourishes and put to one side,
stamp your sentiment, colour in if wanted, mount onto a single layer of flower this gives a subtle mount and put to one side with the other pieces,
on a square of white card stamp the bunny and colour in i stamped the balloon onto a piece of patterned paper and cut out and mounted this onto the stamped image,
make a panel to go inside you can stamp a design in one corner if wished,
mount the finished design onto the card then put the flower in one corner and the sentiment and flourishes in the opposite corner.
add gems and there you have it job done.

speedy pink card

Hello ladies

my second quick card of a Saturday night.

i have in my little Claire stamp collection the amazing Georgina's rosettes and i haven't used them yet so i thought i'd put that right.
 i used 1 white 6x6 card,
 Georgina's rosettes stamp set,
 1 sheet bright pink paper,
1 8x8 piece patterned paper from my stash,
tuxedo black memento ink pad and six pink gems and a black fine liner pen.

cut a panel of pink card slightly smaller than the front and randomly stamp a background using a rosette and black ink, remember to stamp off of the edges.
then cut a smaller square of the patterned paper and mount this onto your background piece.
using your fine liner draw around the edges of both panels to give a little extra to look at, the lines don't have to be straight mount this onto the card base,
out of the bright pink paper that is left stamp a rosette and a sentiment  and cut out.
next stamp another rosette onto the patterned paper and cut out a section of the rosette mount the sentiment onto the piece of patterned paper then that piece onto the whole rosette, at this stage you can use foam pads to raise the rosette stick gems into two opposite corners of the patterned piece of paper and there you have it a quick card ideal for a child's birthday or a graduation or even a just because card.

dreams can come true

Hello lovely ladies,

just a quick card today I was going through my box of off-cuts and found two small pieces of blue paper, there was just enough of the two combined to cover the front of a mini shaped card, once covered I punched out a spotted blue flower using one of my stampin up punches I then found a length of ribbon which I used to disguise the join, with the remaining ribbon I cut it into six small pieces made individual loops and stuck them in between the petals and to cover the ends I used a little Claire sentiment ( love their sentiment stamps ) and coloured it in using powder blue and twilight blue pro markers added a few gems also in my scrap box and there you have it a simple card using scraps.

wheel barrow full of springtime.

happy new year everybody,

i hope you had a good one and there weren't to many headaches
just a little card i made to put me in the mood for springtime
i used an older little claire stamp set called blooming lovely, it has four stamps in that could be used in a variety of situations,

i used a 6 x 6 card distress ink tumbled glass round the edge, then i took  a panel of craft paper and stamped the wording round the edge and  a smaller panel of white card which i distressed again with tumbled glass, then i used blue gingham paper with fake stitching round the edges, and put both panels at an angel.
i attached them with 1 mm foam pads.
i stamped the image using memento ink and coloured in using my promarkers.
finally i used various dies from my collection to add a little bit of dimension.

i hope this brightens up your gloomy day

happy stamping
